Land Investment opportunities near proposed new Pune international airport?

Land Investment opportunities near proposed new Pune International Airport?

There has been a lot anticipation for the official announcement of the proposed site for the much awaited Pune's new international airport.

Well, it is said rumors are often rumors, don't believe them.  However, what do we say about this one?

Is it really going to happen? New international airport for Pune? And if yes, where will it be?

There are lot of talks about the patch of land on the left of the winding road on 11-km stretch between Koye, Pait, Kadus, which are about 48 km from the Pune city ahead of Chakan,  being the ‘likely-to-be-proposed’ site for the Pune International Airport

Few weeks after the Union Budget for 2012-13 was announced in the parliament, State Finance Minister for Maharashtra allocated Rs. 438 crores for five airports in Maharashtra.

Though there is no official announcement on the final site, land prices in villages nearby have gone up by 40 to 60 per cent. While builders are lining up to buy plots, farmers, who hold 90 per cent of the land, are refraining from selling them, hoping that the prices might go up further.
